In the 13th round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysza, which is in 6th place and includes Miyaura Kento, played against 2nd place Rzeszów at home on Thursday, December 1st local time, and lost 0-3 (22-25, 18-25, 14-25).
After the match, Rzeszow's Jakub Kochanowski (MB, Poland) gave us some comments.
--How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Kochanowski: We were definitely focused in the match and were better in two important areas - serving and block defense. We were much better at those than Nysa and this difference allowed us to control the match with ease.
- You've been doing really well this season since the national team season, and it feels like you've taken your game to the next level. What's the reason for that?
Kochanowski: There is only one way to improve: to go to the gym every day for practice, give 100%, analyze your matches and learn from your mistakes. Without these things there is no improvement, and I think I have been working on these things to this day.
--Your performance with your serves has been particularly impressive this season, and even today in the first set you were able to change the flow of the match with your own serve. What do you keep in mind when serving?
Kochanowski: I'm especially conscious of my technique and the result I want to achieve with my serve. I try to get a good toss, good arm movement, good swing, and do it the same way every time. I visualize the result in my head every time, and so far it's worked.
--You have many fans in Japan and other Asian countries. Do you have a message for them?
Kochanowski: I'm very happy about your support. I hope to receive your support in some way or another, and I will continue to do my best so that your memories of me will only be happy ones.
