In the Italian men's volleyball league Serie A, Ishikawa Yuki's Milan team played the third match of the playoff third place match against Piacenza away on Saturday, May 6th local time, and lost 0-3 (19-25, 26-28, 21-25).
After the match, Milan's Paolo Porro (Italy) made the following comment:
-The third-place match against Piacenza was a very tough one for Milan, as they lost three consecutive games in straight sets. How do you feel looking back on it?
Porro: We played against a great team. We lost the chance to go to the final in the semifinal against Civitanova (Milan won two games in the semifinal but lost in a comeback), and it was not easy for the team to lose this chance and bounce back. Not only physically, but also mentally. So we were not able to play like we had in the playoffs. But we are very happy with this result (fourth place). Next season we will also take part in the CEV Cup and we hope to have another great season.
-What was this season like overall?
Porro: We had a lot of injuries this season and some other challenges, but we made it to the playoffs and finished fourth, which I think is a very good result.
-You're aiming to reach the finals next season.
Porro: Yes, I would like to try again next season.
